Etsy shop update

Today is the big day! 

Etsy shops (including mine) are getting a fresh, updated look and some fun new features!

I've been working behind the scenes for a couple weeks to pretty up my shop and fill it with awesome things, but this is just the beginning. Watch for new items in the coming weeks, including a whole line of greeting cards, fresh off the presses!

I used a much-coveted vintage postcard, along with patterned papers 

and vintage ephemera to create this charming collage. 

Do you recognize the building? It's Winnipeg's old downtown Eatons store, 

which stood on Portage Avenue from 1905-1999.

We Lose Ourselves - collage

"We lose ourselves in the things we love. We find ourselves there, too."

Anyone who loves art, yoga, running, music, dance, small-engine repair, off-roading, bonsai-tending, and collecting souvenir glassware knows what I'm tallking about. Ok, maybe not running.

This collage features a sweet gal in a fetching floral apron with a matching potholder. (Does she get lost in baking or gardening? We'll never know.) It is available framed (as shown) or unframed.

I wouldn't call my art biographical, per se, but I can always look at a piece and tell where my head was at when I created it. Clearly, this one was made just after a big change in my life. 

And that's all we need to say about that.

This is me and my bestie to a T. Come to think about it, it could describe most of my good friendships! (Clearly, a healthy dose of snark is something that I admire in a person.)

This collage was recently auctioned 

at the MAWA "Over the Top" annual auction (and cupcake party.)
